Thank you very much for all of the lovely goodies and gifts given to us over the Christmas period.
We wish you all a Happy, Healthy and Peaceful 2014.

You can order a repeat prescription.
By completing the B sheet on your prescription and handing it into the surgery.
Directly through this website. Simply click on the link above and you will be taken to our EMIS online system.
Please allow 48 working hours from the time you place your order until you collect your prescription from us. If you ask us to deliver your prescription to a chemist, please remember that the chemist will need additional time to make up your prescription.
We have a dispensary and are allowed to dispense medication to patients living outside Lydney and more than one mile from a chemist. All telephone enquiries regarding prescriptions and emergency repeat prescription requests should be made on 01594 845715 between 3pm and 5pm only. Our dispensers Anne and Emma will help you with your enquiries.
In order to use this secure ordering service you must first register on-line. Please ask one of our receptionists for a letter containing your unique identifiers to allow you to register or click on Register with Patient Access on our home page.
This facility will allow you to make doctor appointments on line and order repeat prescription items authorised by your GP direct from your computer records.
NB Please keep safe all passwords allocated to you. Do not share these with anyone else.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website
We are aware that some Internet Pharmacy Companies are mail dropping homes in our area advertising their services. This poses a real risk to GP surgery dispensaries.
We are very concerned that if patients stop using our dispensary for repeat prescriptions, it will no longer be viable.
Our dispensary currently provides a valuable service to many patients. We are allowed to dispense medication for any registered patient living more than a mile from their nearest high street pharmacy. We can only continue this service as long as it is well used by patients.
Please support us by continuing to use Severnbank Surgery Dispensary to fill your prescriptions.
Please talk to our dispensing staff if you have any concerns.
Thank you for supporting Severnbank Surgery
